- Cleans the column headers in the FIRST row of the selected table and leaves the data rows unchanged. It trims extra spaces, removes hidden characters and line breaks, gives a blank header a safe name, and makes repeated headers unique, such as Name_2 and Name_3. Select the table or its header row first. This prepares headers that came from a CSV, the web or an export so they work well with Excel Tables, PivotTables, Power Query and lookups. In-place edits to the header row only. Your table stays untouched, and Undo Last stands by if you change your mind.
