XLMind Data · Clean

Delete Empty Columns

Removes the fully empty columns inside the selected table area and moves the rest left, but only within that area. Cells outside your selection, including a table to the right in the same rows, are never moved. Selecting the exact table range is the safest. If you select whole rows, XLMind finds a single block of data and asks you for a clear range when the data spans several blocks. Formula cells and merged cells keep their column, and you confirm before it runs. You can undo the change.

Effect on your data and undo

Delete Empty Columns writes the result over the cells you selected. Undo Last rolls the change back in a single step.

How it differs from similar tools

Compared with find-and-replace rounds, it processes the whole selection in a single pass with no skipped cells, and one step reverses it if needed.

Good to know

Confirmation for large operations. Merged cells rejected; single cell only.

Limitations

Merged cells rejected; single cell only.
