- In short
- Gender split shown as figures. Select your data, pick the template and map the fields; the result is an editable, data-bound visual that refreshes as your cells change. Nothing in the source is modified.
What it shows
Shows the gender split as human figures, presenting the ratio intuitively and memorably.
When to use it
Most useful when you need to conveying the gender split of a population or participant group with figures.
Example scenarios
- Conveying the gender split of a population or participant group with figures.
- Analysts: shows the gender split as human figures, presenting the ratio intuitively and memorably.
What it needs
One column with the female values and one with the male values. You can optionally add the other values.
How to use it
- Select the data range or table you want to visualize.
- Open the Charts (Visualizations menu) gallery from the XLMind Plus tab.
- Pick the Pictogram Gender template and map its fields to your cells.
- The visual is inserted bound to your data; it refreshes as the cells change.
What it produces
A live SVG chart shape (auto-refresh and edit).
Effect on your data and undo
Pictogram Gender does not change your source data; the result is added as a separate item. It refreshes automatically when the linked cells change. One click on Undo Last brings everything back.
How it differs from similar tools
No workaround chart plumbing is needed: the template binds to your cells in one step and the visual keeps up with the data.
Good to know
Bindings must match the chart's expected shape; auto-refreshes on source change. Requires the listed data fields (female, male (Cell)).
Limitations
Requires the listed data fields (female, male (Cell)).
Frequently asked questions
- Is the output locked, or can I change it?
- It stays fully editable: every part is a normal Excel element you can move, color and resize.
- Is the result live?
- Yes. It works off your data, so when the source cells change, so does the visual.
- Will my table change?
- No. Your data stays exactly as it is; only the visual is added to the sheet.
- Can I switch templates later?
- You can reopen the gallery and build another template on the same data; the existing visual stays until you delete it.
