In short
Saves the range you selected as a PDF file on your computer. You choose portrait or landscape, and only the selected range is exported, not the whole sheet or workbook. Your data is not changed and nothing is sent anywhere. Select a normal range, not an entire column or row. A .pdf file on disk. The source table is left as it is.

What it is for

Export to PDF is used to export the selected range to a local PDF file.

When to use it

Most useful when you need to quickly share a report section as a PDF.

Example scenarios

  • Quickly share a report section as a PDF.

What it needs

A single-area bounded selection (whole col/row refused) and an options dialog (orientation/folder/filename/open-after); existing file → overwrite confirm. Supported data types: text, number, date (by selection).

How to use it

  1. Select the range to work on.
  2. On the XLMind Data tab, open the Practical Tools menu in the Practical group and choose Export to PDF.
  3. Pick the settings you need in the window that opens.
  4. Confirm; a .pdf file on disk.

What it produces

A .pdf file on disk.

Effect on your data and undo

Export to PDF does not change your source data; the result is added as a separate item.

How it differs from similar tools

Compared with a hand-built formula setup there is nothing to maintain; the source table keeps its formulas and formats untouched.

Good to know

Overwrite confirmation. Single contiguous area only; whole row refused.

Limitations

Single contiguous area only; whole row refused.
