Donut Progress

A percentage in a donut ring.

In short
A percentage in a donut ring. You pick the template from the gallery and map its fields to your cells; the visual stays bound to the data, updates when it changes, and remains freely editable. The source table is untouched.

What it shows

Shows percentage progress inside a donut.

When to use it

It earns its place whenever you have to presenting what percentage of a goal is complete with a ring.

Example scenarios

  • Presenting what percentage of a goal is complete with a ring.
  • Managers: shows percentage progress inside a donut.

What it needs

Bound cells or ranges (value, target, comparison, trend as the template needs). Supported data types: cells or ranges (live-bound).

How to use it

  1. Select the data range or table you want to visualize.
  2. Open the KPI Cards (Visualizations menu) gallery from the XLMind Plus tab.
  3. Pick the Donut Progress template and map its fields to your cells.
  4. The visual is inserted bound to your data; it refreshes as the cells change.

What it produces

A live SVG KPI card (auto-refresh and edit).

Effect on your data and undo

Donut Progress does not change your source data; the result is added as a separate item. It refreshes automatically when the linked cells change. Undo Last rolls the change back in a single step.

How it differs from similar tools

Instead of hand-building a card, you get a ready layout wired to your cells; the card tracks the data and its look stays fully adjustable.

Good to know

Auto-refreshes when a bound cell changes. Binds to one or more live cells.

Limitations

Binds to one or more live cells.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. It is made of ordinary Excel objects, so colors, text and size are all freely adjustable.
Does it refresh when the data changes?
Yes. The visual is bound to your cells and updates as the linked values change.
Will my table change?
No. Your data stays exactly as it is; only the visual is added to the sheet.
Can I try another look on the same data?
Yes. Just reopen the gallery and pick a different template; the earlier visual remains on the sheet.
